Alma Lighting Showroom

Retail Interior Design

Redwah provided retail interior design services to Adam Wildman of Alma Lighting, a creative soul with a talent for making custom lighting solutions. Adam reached out to redwah to produce a concept that would allow him to incorporate his love of Steampunk into his showroom space. Redwah’s concept for Alma allowed Adam to display a variety of lighting fixtures, as well as showcase his in-situ pieces.

The spacious interior design leveraged the vast wall area as a display space for community artists to exhibit their artwork, with expert illumination by the various lights in store. Reclaimed timber sourced by Adam was used to construct a timber portal window display to catch the attention of street traffic. The finished design also featured a contemporary open-plan workspace area with a large communal table, for designers and architects to bring in samples and experiment with the effects of Adam’s lighting.

This budget-driven retail interior design project used reusable and low-cost materials where possible, to create an impactful design. Whitewashed strand board was used to form feature wall panels and create a textured neutral base to showcase the fittings. The use of sustainable reclaimed timber provided a fresh yet rustic atmosphere, featuring not only in the portal window display, but also in the mobile timber units that moved around the store room. These units provided Adam with the flexibility to work with the various lighting positioned throughout the showroom, and demonstrate their unique qualities to his clients.
